This is my second time working with Karen, and as usual, it's quite a treat. This girl is up for anything -- posing over garbage cans, climbing gates, standing on desks... all the while being stared at, by confused UCSD undergrads.

We did this shoot at the UCSD visual arts department, a place that I walk past every morning on my way to school. All of the random furniture and boxes lying around made for great props.

I got to play around with some off-camera lighting on these last two images. Both were shot with a speedlight through one of my favorite diffusers: the phototek softlighter.

Right as we were wrapping up our last pose, a student stuck his head in and exclaimed "wow! are you catwoman?"
